Please join Melissa Girmscheid and Jeremy Secaur for a webinar on STEP UP on October 13, 2020 from 7-8 pm EST. Webinar description: In this webinar, we will provide an overview of the STEP UP program to increase representation of women in physics, and we will work through the STEP UP Careers In Physics lesson together. Meet the leaders: Melissa Girmscheid is in her 12th year of teaching and currently teaches Physics First in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to holding a bachelor’s in secondary education and MNS degree from Arizona State University, she is a National Board Certified Teacher with a certificate in Adolescent and Young Adult Science. Melissa is a curriculum developer and workshop leader for Computational Modeling in Physics First with Bootstrap, the AMTA Vice President, and a STEP UP Ambassador. Jeremy Secaur has 22 years of experience teaching high school physics, at the regular, honors, and AP levels. He holds a BS in Astronomy and a Masters degree in Teaching. Jeremy currently serves on the executive board of STEMteachersCLE, and has been a Modeling Instruction workshop leader for two years and is a current STEP UP Ambassador.
