Middle school students need real world data collection to understand fractions and ratios as well as experience building the formulas for linear equations to understand many things in everyday life making from making predictions to calculating rates.

Whether you are teaching on-line or in person, join us for lessons and resources to get your students collecting, modeling, and discussing data in a way that builds their comprehension and ability to apply their experience.

University of Pittsburgh will Provide you with a class set of materials for FREE!

Amanda Whitehurst, STEMteachersPHX XO and former middle school teacher, in conjunction with the Center for Science and Imagination at ASU and University of Pittsburgh, has spent the last 3 years  developing and testing math curriculum and pedagogy in classrooms here in the valley. You will receive student worksheets, FREE materials, and other resources to make it easy for you to implement data collection and modeling in your classroom right away! This workshop will get you started with hundreds of dollars worth of materials for you classroom!
