Middle School Science: Introduction to Modeling Instruction

This workshop will immerse participants in the Modeling Method of Instruction, a research-based pedagogy that strives to teach students to do science and learn as scientists do. During the workshop, participants will use resources developed to support the pedagogy and engage in learning as their students would. The focus will be on science content for grades 6 through 8, led by an experienced science classroom teacher.

This workshop will meet Monday-Thursday both weeks for a total of 60 hours of professional development. Participants in this workshop will receive a one-year membership to the American Modeling Teachers Association.
