About the event
Join STEMteachersPHX for a session on incorporating the historic Perseverance Rover landing in your classroom.
Our guest speaker will be Dr. Candice Bedford, Postdoctoral Fellow with the Lunar and Planetary Institute. Dr. Bedford's research focuses on untangling the geochemical effects of mineral sorting, chemical weathering and alteration from source rock characteristics on the Earth and Mars. https://www.lpi.usra.edu/science/staff/bedford/
Does your astronaut have what it takes to land safely on Mars? Following our speaker, all ages are invited to join us in an engineering activity to engage our creativity and problem-solving skills. A supply list for this activity will be available in the confirmation email.
